Storyboard Text

  • That's weird.
  • How'd I get here?
  • Mel is an average teenage girl. One day when she was strolling through the woods, she came across an old, abandoned house. Between upcoming finals and the championship meet coming up, Mel just needed a quiet place to think. That is until she heard a rattling noise from inside the house...
  • Today is September 22, 1862 and I am Abraham Lincoln.
  • Excuse me sir, could you please tell me the date today? And who you might be?
  • She went inside the house to check it out. Inside the house Mel found an empty room. She was about to leave when a flash of light caught her eye. A necklace was lying on the ground. Mel decided to try the necklace on, since it was left behind by its previous owner.
  • That would be correct, miss.
  • So it is 5 days after Antietam. It was the bloodiest day in the Civil War. You released the preliminary version of the Emancipation Proclamation today.
  • As soon as the clasp was done, Mel is transported to an entirely different location. Looking around she realized, she was at the White House. Except something wasn't quite right...
  • Wondering what was going on, Mel walked over to a man who resembled Abraham Lincoln a lot.
  • Mel realized she had traveled back in time to the Civil War Era.
  • Mel wished to return home, while unclasping and reclasping the necklace. She had unconsciously been thinking about her Civil War test in U.S. History when trying the necklace on earlier. It's so good to be back she thought afterwards.
