You see kids, this is the human eye. This is one of the most important parts of the human body and one of the most complex other than the brain. Now lets label all these parts so we can see where it all ends up .
Now, lets go over what each of these parts do and where they go!
Optic nerve to brains visual cortex
PUPIL: Allows light to strike the retina. LENS: Helps refract light to be focused on the retina. IRIS: Responsible for dilation of pupil and the amount of light reaching the retina. CORNEA: Transparent front part of the eye, refracts light. RETINA: Light sensitive layer of tissue that senses visual messages through the optic nerve. FOVEA: (Point of central focus) Where visual activity is highest. OPTIC NERVE TO BRAIN'S VISUAL CORTEX: Converts images formed by light rays into nerve impulses.
