Storyboard Text

  • "Observe how healthily --how calmly I can tell you the story."
  • The eye, it causes my discomfort, how could I get rid of it...? I have an idea.
  • (Thinking): Yes... twelve. Come on, it's closed, can't do it tonight.
  • The narrator attempts to convince the audience he is in fact not insane and how he has sharp senses. He then continues to tell his story, mentioning to the audience how he can do it calmly.
  • I know how to hide you.
  • The narrator didn't hate the man or want his gold, he just wanted to rid himself of the old man's eye. The eye made him feel uncomfortable, so he planned a way to discard the eye, to kill the old man.
  • Oh, hi! The old man's out of the country.
  • Every night for seven nights straight the narrator would sneak into the room of the old man and see if he could remove the eye. Not one night that week was he able to do it, his eye was closed.
  • Alright, alright, here's the body!
  • On the eighth night, the old man heard the narrator in his room, so he stayed awake. The narrator knew the old man heard him so he did the only thing he felt he could do, attack. When it was all over, the narrator buried the body in the floor.
  • Cops knock on the door and ask if everything's okay, the narrator greeting them and inviting them to search the building.
  • He ended up inviting the cops to sit down in the very room the old man was buried in. Constantly hearing a thumping noise and the cops' laughing eventually caused the man to freak out and reveal the location of the body.
