  • Hello! I am Sebichos, your tour guide. Today I am going to tell you about Tutankhamun.
  • Tutankhamun was a pharaoh in Ancient Egypt. He was the son of Akhenaten and his sister.
  • Tutankhamun died at the age of 19.
  • Tutankhamun had temporal lobe epilepsy. This means he had strange visions, seizures and a condition that gave him feminine features.
  • He also had clubfoot and Kohler's disease, which meant his foot was twisted and a part of his bone was missing.
  • Tutankhamun married Ankhesenamun, his cousin and half-sister.
  • Some people believed that because his advisor and successor, Ay, was buried in a massive royal tomb, that Ay had swapped his lowly tomb (later King Tut's) for Tut's one.
  • When Tutankhamun died, he had a hasty burial. His tomb was left unfinished.
  • Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.
  • Thank you for coming on this special Tutankhamun tour!
