One day Maggie went to a toy store with her mom to buy a present for her friend.
Maggie found a stuffed animal that she knew her friend would love. However, there was only one left.
This looks like a great toy! I know she will like it.
As she approached the toy, another young girl came up too. Maggie got there first and grabbed the toy.
The other girl threw a huge temper tantrum and screamed at Maggie. She wanted that toy and let everyone know that Maggie stole it from her.
I wanted that toy! Give it back! You are so mean!
I should give the toy to her. She is acting like a baby, but I need to do the right thing.
Maggie chose to do the right thing and gave the toy to the little girl. She showed responsibility and kindness. The younger girl did not react in a respectful way. She was disrespectful to Maggie.
See ya!...Hey mom I want this toy, NOW!
Maggie showed her mom that she knew how to make the right decision and how to keep verbal self-control. She could have yelled at the younger girl, but she did not. She chose to do the right thing.
Maggie, you showed a good sense of self-control and maturity during that moment
