  • We Are Prince Edward Island (PEI)
  • PEI
  • Important information about PEI
  • Potatoes are our top produce! We have 35000 hectares of potatoes!! We are also the highest producer of Canada!
  • Problem
  • Our biggest problem is that we have no access to trade in the winter!
  • We are Prince Edward Island AKA PEI. Our population is 80000. We are located on the east side of Canada. We are also a Prairie province. In the picture above, it shows where PEI is on a map.
  • Alliances
  • PEI actually has no trade with any other of the Canadian colonies. Our main trade is actually with the U.S.A. Also, in class, we made no trades with any of the other colonies because we felt we have nothing to offer to them We remained neutral between all.
  • Here is one of the most important things you should know about PEI. We have very rich soil, which comes in handy because we are Canada's biggest supply of potatoes. In conclusion, those are 2 important facts you need to know about PEI.
  • Solution
  • The Confederation Bridge was built in 1993. It connects PEI to New Brunswick, then New Brunswick to Maine, U.S.A. This solved our problem because we now have a bridge to transport goods to the U.S, year round.
  • The main problem facing our province is that we have absolutely no trade in the winter time!! This means no food and supplies for 4 whole months!! This is our biggest problem because we may not have enough food for the rest of the year.

  • PEI
  • The solution to our problem is to build new ways to travel/trade year round. PEI now has a bridge called the "Confederation Bridge". It connects PEI to New Brunswick, then New Brunswick to Maine, U.S.A! This solves all of our trading needs!
