Achilles king of the Myrmidons, lives peacefully at home. He is already presumed to be the greatest fighter of all time, but has a big ego.
Crossing the Threshold
Odysseus comes to try to get Achilles to join the Greek army and sail to Troy. However, Achilles is not convinced by the offer.
Achilles confidently denies his offer saying it wasn't his war but the Spartan king who couldn't keep his wife, Helen. Odysseus, however, points out that it will be the biggest war the world has ever seen. Achilles has only ever been concerned with being remembered through history.
Achilles, with his Myrmidons, storm the beach first to face the Trojans and their massive walls.
Achilles and his soldiers face enemies like the selfish Greek leader, Agamemnon, and Hector from the Trojan army.
Although he accomplishes sacking Troy, Achilles' inevitable prophecy comes true and he is killed.
