There are many parts of the digestive system for this potato to pass through
The journey begins in the mouth, where the potato is chewed into small pieces by the teeth
The chewed up potato then makes its way down theoesophagus and into the stomach where enzymes like pepsin(breaks down proteins) and hydrochloric acid break it down
The liver and pancreas produce bile, a yellowish green liquid that contains important enzymes that aid in digesting the potato
The remaining potato then passes through the small intestine, where the nutrients and minerals are absorbed.
The unneeded parts of the potato, dead cellsand water pass through the large intestine. The water is removed and the remaining waste is pushed out to therectum.
