So we lived and worked a few weeks in the stable until they took us to an even bigger prisoner of war camp. It was terrible cold that autumn. All over Europe it was so freezing that birds fell from the trees.
They then marched us to the main courtyard and lined us by Alphabet at tables...We were on release due to Parsha Truma.
Destination upon release?
The next morning each from us got a red cross package, and they loaded us on a train to Poland.
I arrived back to sosnowiec, but only for it to be overthrown by German occupancy. The Germans looked everywhere for any Jewish civilians, but as me and Anja were in hiding we eventually got found..
A few days later the trucks, carts and trains came, they stuffed maybe 100 of us in the damned cart. we soon came to the town of Oswiecim...before the war i sold textiles here. And we came here to the concentration camp Auschwitz, and we knew that from here we will not come out anymore. We knew the stories-that they would gas us and throw us in the ovens. this was 1944. We knew everything. And here we are.
