  • Principle #1 Genetic Variation: The frogs vary between several colors, but the example shows them varying between a light brown vs a dark green
  • Principle #2 Overproduction and the Struggle for Existence:They usually have many tadpoles (up to 4000), but since many predators eat them as eggs, usually 1 out of 50 survive to become an adult frog.
  • Principle #3 Differential Survival and Reproduction: The Dark Green frogs are the most fit to survive because they're darker skin helps blend in while the light brown frog fails to camouflage and is hunted down.
  • Principle #4 Changes in the gene pool:The Green Frog trait becomes more and more common to survive in that environment.
