Storyboard Text

  • "My name is Helen Stoner, and I am living with my stepfather, who is the last survivor of one of the oldest Saxon families in England..."
  • "The name is familiar to me".
  • "He has a passion also for Indian animals, which are sent over to him by a correspondent..."
  • "Two years have passed since then, and my life has been until lately lonelier than ever."
  • Helen has just arrived to talk to Sherlock Holmes about her situation and begins with her family backround. Sherlock and Watson both listen intently.
  • "Yes, all".
  • Miss Roylott, you have not. You are screening your stepfather.
  • "You have done wisely, but have you told me all?".
  • Helen is much deeper into the story now and starts talking about her stepfather and her sister. Sherlock starts to understand the whole situation better.
  • This whole situation has many ways of being attacked, Watson.
  • It certainly does seem so.
  • Helen Stoner finishes her story, but leaves out one thing that she doesn't want Holmes and Watson knowing.
  • "Pray take a seat"
  • "I will do NOTHING of the kind. My stepdaughter has been here. I have traced her. WHat has  been saying to you?"
  • Sherlock Holmes, with his deductive reasoning skills and knowledge, figures out the one thing that Helen left out; the fact about her father.
  • After their conversation, Helen, Sherlock, and Watson agree to meet later on to solve and investigate Helen's home. Helen then leaves.
  • Just then, Helen's stepfather, Dr. Roylott barges in and interrupts Sherlock and Watson's conversation. He wants to know where Helen went.
