Scene 1: The three witches meet to talk about Macbeth and they create a scary and mysterious tone to the story.
Scene 2: King Duncan meets a wounded captain. He reports that Macbeth defeated Macdonwald. Duncan tells Macbeth that he will become the Thane of Cawdor because the present one is a traitor.
Scene 3: Macbeth and Banquo come across the three witches on their way back. They greet Macbeth as he the Thane and tell him that he will become King after. They tell Banquo that his children will become kings, then they disappear.
Scene 4: The execution of the Thane of Cawdor has ended. The King announces that he will be staying at Macbeth's castle. Also, he names Malcolm his successor.
Scene 5: Lady Macbeth received Macbeth's letter about what the witches told him. She knows that Macbeth is too nice to kill Duncan so she will have to help him do it.
Scene 7: Macbeth does not know if he should kill Duncan but Lady Macbeth tries to convince him to. She tells him he will be a coward if he doesn't. So Macbeth agrees to do it.
