Why do people care about Bitcoin? It's not like it's a real currency.
Bitcoin is actually accepted as a major currency across many online marketplaces. It even has online banks such as Mycelium, Jaxx, and Exodus (Khatwani, 2018).
Even if it is accepted, the market is far too small. No one has Bitcoin.
That's not true. Even in 2011, there were $20 million worth of bitcoins in the market when it was only worth two USD(Grinberg, 2012). Today, just one bitcoin is over $9000!
In fact, the market grows larger every day as more are digitally mined. Today, 17,022,663 Bitcoin are in circulation (Coindesk). This means the current market is worth well over $150 million.
Wow I guess you're right. Bitcoin is way more important than I thought!
