Once upon a time we ruled a place called India. Here, everyone was happy. Even the native Indian people. We helped them learn new technology and develop their country into one like ours.
Then, one day, a boy named Mohandas Gandi was born. We thought he was a normal boy, but he wasn't.
19 years later
After coming back from a law school in London, Ghandi decided to try and use civil disobedience in order to gain more rights for the citizens of India. His first nonviolent protest was when he threw government paper into the fire so that the Indian people would not have to pay a pol tax (a tax Indian's must pay to get married.)
Gandhi even organized the " salt campaign" where many Indians marched to the Indian Ocean in order to rebel against the government and pick up salt for free. This was usually against the law. Through this, Gandhi and his supporters continued to stay non violent.
