The meeting of the Estate Generals
In 1989, Frances society was based on a system created in the middle ages. The ancient regime separated everyone in the French society into three estates. the first estate contained the clergy, the second contained the nobility, and the third contained the rest of the population.
The tennis court oath was where the third estate and the king went to make an agreement in which the king had to make a constitution for the third estate to pass, and to make them stick together and never break apart.
