Storyboard Text

  • I'm playing golf , and now the golf ball is at rest and I will hit it to give it an unbalanced force.
  • I hit the golf ball and it moves as my velocity.
  • There is the soccer ball, if my cat uses 50N to push the ball and the ball is at 0.5kg, the acceleration is force divided by mass, so it will be 100m/s2.
  • Newton's First Law-a law of motion that states that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion with the same velocity unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
  • Now, there is a golf ball, it's mass is 0.2kg, and my cat will use the same force as when she push the soccer ball, it is at 50N. The acceleration is 250m/s2. Since the acceleration changed, we know that when you use the same force but different mass the acceleration will change, and the small mass will move farther because the acceleration is bigger.
  • Newton's First Law-a law of motion that states that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion with the same velocity unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
  • See, there is a tennis ball on the table. Oh! It will fall.
  • It's okay.
  • Oops, sorry I can't catch it.
  • Newton's Second Law-acceleration is force divided by mass.
  • Ha! Do you know Newton's Third Law? Every force has a reaction which is an equal force with an opposite direction. Now, the two objects are the tennis ball and the ground.
  • Right!
  • Newton's Second Law-acceleration is force divided by mass.
  • Newton's Third Law-for every action force, there is a reaction force equal in strength and opposite in direction.
  • Newton's Third Law-for every action force, there is a reaction force equal in strength and opposite in direction.
  • Like the tennis ball fell on the ground and the ground gave it a reaction which is an equal force but opposite direction so that's why the ball spring up from the ground.
