These crops are growing fast! These can support our family for months!
In life before the agricultural revolution people had to collect plants and go hunting for food. They did not have a stable food supply that they can depend on. Hunting was dangerous and many hunters were injured or killed during their hunting trips.
Agricultural Revolution: Farming
Our family will survive will all these good crops. We will be able to grow more crops if we find them!
This is an example of a man fishing for food. Meanwhile the lady is gathering leaves and grass and berries for food for later days.

Over time people discovered seeds on their hunting and gathering journeys and they found out that they could plant seeds in the ground and they would grow to giant crops to farm.
Neolithic Age: Permanant Shelters and Trading/ Exchanging Items
I'll trade my meat for your lobster.
Growing crops and taming animals are called agriculture. People make a living for doing this, now and back then. For the first time, people could control their food supply and have a healthy life.
People don't have to move around now because they have their farms and water sources nearby. They also don't have to go hunting ever again because they have their pigs for meat
This is my house!
This is the town square and people are happy and trading crops for money or other crops that other people have.
