The women tribute from district twelve is Primrose Everdeen
I volunteer as tribute!
Dont clock out mom like you did when dad died, im not here to fend for Prim,
Please come back safely
Katniss is showing bravery: Katniss volunteers as tribute for her younger sister, Prim to go into the Hunger Games. When Katniss chose to sacrifice herself for her sister safety it showed how brave she was. Katniss sacrificed her safety to protect and provide for her family. Only the braved the and most heroic people will place others safety over there own.
Die, Die you stupid Cat.
Katniss is a risk taker: Katniss is a risk taker because of her using the art she was taught by her father to produce for the family, as hunting is illegal in district twelve. This risk taking is needed due to the fact that Katniss and Prim are the providers for there family of three. If Katniss wasn't willing to take the risk of hunting, the family would starve.
Katniss is mistrusting: As Katniss is about to leave to fight in the Hunger Games to provide for her family, she is uncertain that her mother will provide for Prim if Katniss doesn't return. Given her mothers history of checking out in stressful situations, Katniss isn't certain she wont leave Prim to fend for herself. Because Katniss in not confident in her mother and her willingness to provide, this proves Katniss could be mistrusting,
Katniss is irrational: Katniss struggled with the grief from the gruesome death of her father. In a fit of irrational rage she attempted to drown her sisters beloved cat. Even though Katniss knew how much Primrose loved the cat Katniss couldn't control her emotions and tried to drown the cat. Her grief was so strong she couldn't make a rational thoughts or decisions.
Katniss is mistrusting: Katniss doesn't trust Peeta. Peeta has known Katniss most of her life from when he sacraficed himself to get a beating , to feed her. Katniss doesnt feel he is super trust worthy.
Katniss is Heart-Broken: Once the worst broke out the mine had exploded, most people in district twelve were struck in horror worried about their friends and family members that worked in the mine. When Katniss learned of her fathers death, it felt like her heart exploded in the mine with her father. With each memory of her father, Katniss becomes more weary and upset about her and her families loss. Katniss's inability to deal with the loss caused her to have tremendous night terrors. Katniss finds it hard to move forward in her normal life without her loss effecting her normal life.
