Jordan Romero's dad,Paul Romero, was taken by great surprise when his son told him he wanted to climb the "seven summits,"aka the 7 tallest mountains in the world, but he knew that his son could accomplish this feat.
Jordan trained to climb these mountains by completing weeks of brutal exercises.
Jordan persevered, and in July 2006, when he was 10 years old, Jordan and his family climbed the 19,300 foot high Mount Kilimanjaro.
Over the next five years Jordan and his family(Team Jordan), climbed 6 more mountains.
When Jordan was 13 years old, he acomplished the Mount Everest ascent. After this, he became the youngest person to reach the "top of the world."
After completing their amazing set of journeys, Jordan and his family have a new mission of helping young kids to be active and healthy.
