Bill Denbrough enters the room of his long dead brother, still mourning the loss of his life. He opens a photo album he found on the top shelf of his closet. The last picture was a school photo of George taken shortly before he died.
As he looks at the picture of George, the eyes roll up to meet his. George winks and says he'll see him again soon. George, having become a gruesome figure through Bill's mind, is particularly frightening to him.
Bill throws the book against the wall, and it lays open on the floor. Blood begins to ooze from the pages, and Bill flees the room, slamming the door behind him. This progresses the plot because Bill now knows there is the presence of something supernatural in Derry, something that has killed his brother and many other children. Bill has been angered, and now he will stop at nothing to get his revenge
