The setting of this story took place in Greece. The characters in the island of Crete included the tyrant king, King Minos, his daughter, Ariadne, and the beastly Minotaur. While in Athens, the characters Theseus and his father make a plan to resolve the conflict that the Minotaur brings as a danger to their city.
Every year, King Aegean of Athens had to send 7-8 young men and women to be risked in Minos' labyrinth. No one had a chance of surviving the beastly Minotaur, for they would be easily slain by the Minotaur. Theseus sees the trouble that the citizens are facing, and the young prince decides to venture with the group of men and women in the next round to kill the perilous beast.
Theseus arrives with the group of people the next day and volunteers to be the first person to enter the maze. Ariadne, the tyrant's daughter, provided a useful string to help Theseus get out of the maze. He then enters the maze and gets attacked unexpectedly by the Minotaur.
