Since more population means more representation in the house, we think slaves should be included in our states population count.
Since slaves are counted as property, they should not count as people because they are not free. Only free slaves should count in the population number.

People who wanted a strong central government, and limited states power were called federalists. These people were from heavily populated areas, and were big farmers, artisans and merchants.
People who were opposed to having a strong central government and wanted all the power in the hands of the people were the antifederalists. They were normally small farmers from rural areas.
