  • "The evil assumption that all negros lie, that all negros are basically immoral beings, that all negro men are not to be trusted around our women."
  • "For one thing, Ms. Maudie can't serve on a jury because she's a women."
  • "We decided that it would be best for you to have some feminine influence."
  • At the end of the trial, during the closing remarks, Atticus talks about how people are prejudice to blacks. 
  • "When I come to town, which is seldom, if I weave a little and drink out of this sack, folks can say Dolphus Raymond's in the clutches of whiskey- that's why he wont change his ways."
  • Atticus, The kids, and Ms. Maudie are discussing with the Jury.
  • Aunt Alexandrea will stay with the children for a while to give them a "feminine influence". 
  • Mr. Dolphus Raymond pretends to be drunk to give white people an ecplination for his lifestyle, when he perfers black people to whites.
  • Tom Robinson is a mockingbird because he was only trying to help Mayella Ewell. Tom is a good and innocent man, who was killed for his kindness just because of the color of his skin. 
  • Boo Radley is a mockingbird because he is a victim of society's prejudice, but he is basically a sweet, gentle man.
