Storyboard Text

  • The brain is where thoughts are formulated. When you want to speak, these thoughts will be sent to your vocal chords.
  • The signals from your brain are sent to your vocal cords, which then vibrate at a specific frequency to create pitch.
  • insert vocal cords
  • insert lungs
  • Breathing air out of your lungs produces the power supply for your voice. This airflow from your lungs makes the vocal cords in your larynx vibrate to make sound. This process is called phonation.
  • insert lips
  • The vibrating air molecules that are pushed out go from your mouth to the microphone.
  • The mic then converts the vibrating air molecules into electrical impulses, saved as binary.
  • insert binary
  • The electrical impulses push on the speaker components, which vibrate and push out sound
