Julius Caesar came into power in 58 B.C. How he came into power was by conquering Gaul, or present day France in a Civil War in 58 B.C
Hi, Im Julius Caesar
I shall revise the Roman calendar, help the poor, increase the number of people in the senate, and grant people citizenship.
Julius Caesar revised the Roman calendar, he gave land and grain to the poor, increased the number of people in the senate, and grantd citizenship to foreigners.
Julius Caesar’s power ended because he ignored a warning to “Beware the Ides of March.” On March 15, in 44 B.C., he was stabbed to death in the Senate Building.
Once Julius Caesar got killed, his grandnephew, Octavius, came into power. He led his army into a Civil War and conquered a man named Actium’s army and navy.
I Octavius, grandnephew of Julius Caesar, shall conquer the people that killed him.
I have conquered the army and navy
After the Civil War, Octavius was named “ imperator” Which means “ one who commands.”Octavius had the power veto any law, rule all Roman provinces, and control the army. Also, the Senate gave Octavius the name, Augustus, which means “ honored one.”
I now have the control to veto any law, I rule all of the Roman provinces, and control the army.
