What steps can we take to help a student with ADHD facilitate healthy peer relationships?
Much to the frustration of her peers and her teacher, Lilly often shouts out answers and talks over them on the carpet.
On the playground, Lilly just wants to play with her friends. When she played with Emily, she got overexcited and started throwing sand in the air, the sand got in Emily's eye. When Lilly played with Shawn, she kept jumping in front of the slide so he couldn't play. Both Emily and Shawn told Lilly they didn't want to play with her anymore.
On the bus, because of her behavior during class and on the playground, Lilly's classmates refuse to sit with her and exclude her from their conversation. Lilly is upset and doesn't understand what she did wrong.
