Storyboard Text

  • After facing Scylla and Charybdis, Odysseus and his crew find the island of Helios, the god of the sun.
  • Odysseus, how ruthless are you, to make your own crew to sail on when their soles are crushed, and have not have a good supper in a long time, let us rest here for at least one night.
  • I am sorry my friends, but I have been warned to avoid and sail pass this island by Teiresias and of Aeaean Circe.
  • (Sigh) Fine, but only if you swear to me that you will not eat any of the holy cattle or flocks of sheep.
  • Now that they have feasted, and are sleeping, I shall now go and pray to the gods for a way home
  • Help us home, O, Zeus, king of the gods.
  • After a month on the island, their rations are gone and they are hunting for food. Hunger is now always in their stomach.
  • THAT'S IT, I DON'T CARE IF IT'S FORBIDDEN, I'M EATING A COW!
  • MOOOOO!
  • O, Zeus, forgive us for we have slaughtered the sun god's holy cattle.
  • Odysseus, let's go, the wind died down and we can leave.
  • Zeus and the other gods were enraged beyond forgiveness, so Zeus sent down thunderbolts to destroy the ship and its passengers.
  • But Odysseus lived and made a makeshift raft to float upon, and the raft carried him back to Scylla and Charibdis.
