Okay, so what are some things we could do then? I want to at least start.
Well, we could cut down on eating meat, we could use solar power, reduce more waste by recycling and composting...
Composting? What's that?
Composting is where we collect decomposable everyday material that we use and instead of throwing it away, it can be used to improve the soil.
We can stop and get some supplies on the way home and then we'll get on it.
Well, that doesn't sound too hard to do, we should start doing that now. What do we need to do?
We can set it up in the garden here, now I have a bin ready and all we need to do is take any food scraps, but not meat or dairy, and start throwing them in.
Can't anything else go in it? That doesn't seem like it'll be much.
I mean, any yard trimmings and things like that just go ahead and throw them in.
So what all does this help with exactly?
Composting helps with a lot of things, but it'll benefit the soil quality and reduce the need for fertilizers, it will help reduce waste that is sent to landfills, and that will help with pollution overall.
Sounds like we should've done this a lot sooner, but I'm glad we are now!!
