The civil war was one of the worst wars in U.S History. The Civil war had happened because of the expansion of slavery. This was the first war United states had ever had with it's self
Union war efforts
We are going to block off the Mississippi River

Slaves were put under critical conditions in the early 1800's and were extremely under valued in the role that many slaves had never had the chance to provide. Many slaves were beat and this had caused the civil War to start
Confederacy War efforts
The Civil war had started to become almost extremely important after the election of Abraham Linoln and was a key factor in the start of the war. If Abraham Lincoln had not become president the war would have probably not started for another 4-8 years.
Legacy of the War
The union war had tried and successfully managed to take the Mississippi river from the Confederacy which was their plan in order to take control of the trade routes and fast travel from their enemy.
The Confederacy had burned all of their sugarcane and cotton so that the union could not go after them with their own supplies.
After the Civil war many Northerners had tried to make friends with the slaves and wanted everyone to come together
