We got to Uncle Mir's house in England. It was a crazy, scary and adventurous journey but we're here. I still miss Shadow so much. I liked it here. It always had my silver badge on me. I always gave me hope.
I knew that something would go wrong. One day an officer showed up at our house demanding us to go with him to a detention center called Yarl's Wood. He said we were illegal asylum seekers. I was scared, but mom was mad and when she spoke he tortured her by hitting and shoving, I tried to intervene but another officer held me back.
We are going now!
We have been here ever since. I still miss my friends and Shadow so much.
After I finished telling Matt's grandpa our story he left, I thought I was never gonna see him again. But, I was wrong, that night we went home and emailed a journalist to see if he could get our story into the newspaper. He ended up getting it on the front page of the paper.
The protest turned out amazing. Hundreds of people came and supported everyone trapped in Yarl's Wood. I was so surprised when I saw Sergeant Brodie and Shadow. He went to the gvernment and demanded we be let out because we helped him by bringing back the missing war dog Polly (Shadow)
