  • i'm hungry!!! i haven't eaten in days!!
  • no i'm sorry. we need to save money we wont have any after the taxes

  • During this time France was going through many challenges. There was a large growth in population and not a lot of food. There wasn't a lot of food because a famine ruined the crops. This meant that a lot of people would fight for bread and many people died. 
  • enlightenment philosophers
  • we're going to improve everything!!
  • France was also in a lot of debt. They taxed the peasants 50% of the money they had. This meant that they were very poor. They could barely  live off what they had.
  • tennis court oath 
  • This was one of the first time that women finally stood up for what they deserved. This created an impact on the future of women. They marched October 5 - 6. 
  • storming of the Bastille
  • This was a group of people that made a change in the government. They would have meeting discussing how they could make it better. Some of them even discovered things that the church didn't know . This made the church very mad. This is why there were known as rebels. 
  • The tennis court oath was a pledge that was signed in the beginning of the French revolution.This stated that they were doing it for the rights of the people and not for the monarchy. 
  • The storming of Bastille happened 14 of July 1789. A group of people went to a prison and revolted against the monarchy. This was the beginning of the french revolution.
