This is a representation of my grandma when she was just a kid in the late 1900's, here she is with her mom in the kitchen watching her cook, something her mom loved to do.
This represents a special day in Carmelas childhood when her dad brought home 2 giant dolls her sisters and her size, they could walk and talk.
Carmela knew how to embroider when she was 13 and her sister how to sew when she was 15, therefore they started selling dresses. On the right I added Rosa, Carmela's grand-ma who was very influential too her life.
When she was 17, her whole family moved to Venezuela and here she opened a hair salon and her brother a barbershop.
In her first marrige she had 2 kids, Regina and Domenico. After her first husband died, she got remarried and had 2 more kids, Ignazio and Javier.
After getting seprated from her second husband, Carmela worked very hard to mantain her family of 4 children trying out different jobs, she managed to do this and they left the household after each one got married.
