  • Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?
  • I do bite my thumb, sir.
  • Part, fools!
  • Abram and Sampson start to argue on the streets of Verona. They are both different from each other, one is a Capulet and one is a Montague. This means they are enemies.
  • What, drawn and talk of peace?
  • I do but keep the peace.
  • Abram and Sampson start to swing swords at each other, after their argument.
  • Benvolio steps in and tries to stop the fight because he wants peace in the streets of Verona. 
  • If you disturb our streets again, Your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace.
  • Tybalt joins the fight and disagrees with Benvolio about peace. Tybalt is a Capulet and Benvolio is a Montague, which means Tybalt hates Benvolio. 
  • Tybalt challenges Benvolio to fight with him on the streets of Verona while the citizens watch them fight.
  • While Tybalt and Benvolio were fighting, Prince Escalus of Verona showed up and told them to put their weapons down and if they disturb the peace of Verona again, their lives shall pay.
