  • What is life if not a gamble?- F.E. Higgins
  • Although the Bible does not mention gambling, it tells us that games such as focuses on loving, trusting, and depending on money, wealth and luck rather than God which is idolatry and this does not glorify God and his will.

  • The Bible teaches that we should work diligently as we gain money by our daily occupations instead of betting on money that we can easily lose because it can extract abundance, shows poor stewardship, and increase their lack of control over lust and wealth.

  • From all of this, my opinion is that gambling is not bad or sinful when people act with only temperance, the virtue of justice, and unselfishness, but I do stand against people who idolize money in gambling because those people believe money will get them more than what God can give them.
  • The Choice Between Acting with Temperance or Acting with Unhealthy Desires
  • My outlook can be associated with the Seven Deadly Sins as they show anger, unrealistic desire and envy, and carelessness within gambling by betting on houses and cars, and the Moses covenant when the Israelites idolized the Golden Calf and gave up on God.
