  • The French and Indian War was a conflict between France and Great Britain. It was a war to decide which nation would control the Ohio Valley
  • Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan which was the unity of the Colonies 
  • The treaty of 1763 ended the war in 1763
  • The treaty gave Britain all the land in America controlled by France. France lost land and power.
  • Britain imposed the Proclamation of 1763 on the colonists which prohibited moving west into the Appalachian Mountains.
  • The war cost Britain a lot of money so they started the colonies taxes. The colonists became angry.
