- Tom and Huck were at the perfect place to bury the cat, when they heard a strange noise. Right away they thought it was a devil or a spirit coming after them. This terrified both of them to a point where they thought it was all over.
- What is it?
- SHH! Didn't you hear it? There! Now you hear it!
- Hurry men! The moon might come out at any moment.
- Huck woke Tom up, and they made their way off to the graveyard. They were prepared with Huck's dead cat, ready to bury it, and say a magic saying so that Tom's warts could go away.
- Did you think I'd forget? This Injun blood ain't in me for nothing.

- Tom and Huck realized that the sounds they were hearing were humans. They descided to go and hide behind a tree so that they wounldn't be seen. As the people came in, Tom realized that the people were Injun Joe, Dr. Robinson, and the town drunk, Muff Potter.
- Don't worry. I won't tell!
- How could I do such a thing!

- Tom and Huck are still in their hiding place, while Joe, Robinson, and Poter are only a couple feet away from them. They end up getting the coffin out, and dumping the body to the side very disrespectfully. It was at that time when Injun Joe brought up the time when Robinson treated him unfairly. This created a bad argument that could result in worse actions.

- All of a sudden, Injun Joe and Dr. Robinson went at it. They both struke at each other, and wrestled. Eventually, Injun Joe picked up the knife that Muff Poter droped, and rounded Robbinson. Before Joe could do something, Robbinsone got a hold of the coffin, and struck Poter with it. Joe then saw his time, and struck at him. In the blink of an eye, it was the end of the young man's life. Right after this, Tom and Huck went sprinting off.

- After the murder, Joe put the knife in Potter's hand, so it looked like he did it. Potter was drunk, and couldn't remember what happened. This made for a perfect person to blame the kill on. Muff Poter had been freaking out about the murder, and how he "did it." Later on, they all went away, and left the coffin and the body alone until someone would notice.
