I know everything that happens in my oceans, and I also know that you should go home.
One beautiful day, an ancient princess of Earth stood at the bank of a mighty river. She looked outwards and felt a sense of melancholy, with the knowledge that she would never be able to explore the vast lands that lay outside of her safe haven, the island.
I will not return, you scumbag!
Then you can come with me to my palace. Those are your only options.
That night, she constructed a plan. She would take the village boat and escape.
She was sailing smoothly when the sea god, Poseidon, rose up out of the water.
Her mouth tightened. This was the closest she'd ever gotten to leaving her island, and she would not let some god thwart her plans. After contemplating, she accepted Poseidon's offer.
Poseidon took her hand and led her underground, pleased with her decision. The goddess looked around, gaping at the beauty. She spent the rest of her days exploring the ocean with Poseidon.
Of course, her father was not pleased about this. Sometimes, when he was reminded of his daughter, he made the Earth rumble and shake. Mortals called these earthquakes.
