There was a king and he was semi-barbaric. He had an area for people who did wrong to be brought to justice by the Law of Chance. They would have to choose between two doors, one had a fierce hungry tiger who would eat the accused person. The other door had a beautiful lady which they would have to marry
The princess, who was the king's daughter, was seeing a worker behind her father's back. When her father found out he was very angry because his daughter was with a low life. He wanted to make sure his daughter never got to see the worker again
So the king decided he was going to send the worker to the arena and he was going to be put on trial so he would never be able to see the princess ever again.
The trial was about to start and everyone was in the arena waiting to see what would happen. The worker looked at the princess hoping she would direct him to the correct door. The princess made a slight motion telling him to go to the right.
The worker saw the princesses signal and trusted that she knew what door to send him to. She knew which door had the hungry tiger and she knew which door had the fair lady. She even knew who the lady was and she did not like her, but no one knew that.
He stood in front of the two doors and went straight for the right door just like the princess had motioned him to go to. Her decision was not to be taken lightly but the author left the decision is up the the reader. So what came out of the door he chose, the lady or the tiger?
