  • Wisdom, with knowledge that is gained by experiences. Justice, where everyone is treated equally and fairly. Moderation, where something is done in a reasonable manner.  These are listed in the pledge of allegiance as the three principles for what it stands for.
  • I pledge allegiance to the Georgia flag and to the principles for which it stands; Wisdom, Justice, and Moderation.
  • Do you know the three principles of the Georgia pledge?
  • What are the qualifications and lengths of terms that both the house of representatives and the senate must abide by.?
  • There are many qualifications both chambers must have. They must be US citizens and citizens of Georgia for two years at the minimum. They also must be legal residents of their district for a year. Other qualifications include: Senators must be at least 25 and representatives must be at least 21. The House and Senate both serve two year terms with no limit on consecutive serving. 
  • How are the house speaker and Lt. governor elected and what are their duties?
  •  The speaker of the house is elected by their peers while the lieutenant governor is elected  popular vote within the state of Georgia.  They will be of the same party as their chamber and both act as the head of their chamber and appoint committees.
