-siddartha guatata a hindu prince of nepal was born in 563 b.c -siddathas father meets with a fortune teller who predicts siddartha will be king or religious leader. -of course his dad wants siddartha to be king.
-siddartha grew up in a life of luxury without experiencing pain or sadness. -siddarthas father had protected him from anything unpleasant. -the prince never saw who was poo, sick, or sad because his guards have always protected him. -eventually he married and had a son, and he had everything he wanted.
Siddartha, one day left the palace without any guards and what he saw was somethings that he ahs never seen before he saw four different things. he saw an old man leaning on a stick, he saw a shrunken man from a disesase. Then, he saw a man who had died, and his family was crying in sorrow and lastly he saw a man living a very simple religious life.
he would only have what he needed, he would only eat one grain of rice a day and only one tiny piece of fruit everyday. he only really focused religion, but he got very sick, because he never ate or drank really that much.
self-denial is when someone is living a very simple life, and they are only focusing on religion. Also you would only feed yourself what you need. for example, siddartha only feed himself a grain of rice and a piece of fruit everyday. but he dies not soon after that because he did not eat or drink very much.
one day he sat under a fig tree to mediate. he meditated there for about 49 days straight. he gave up his wealth. he just wore a yellow robe. he only has what he needs.
he just walked around and did whatever he had to do to survive.he only feed himself what he needed. but i feel like he should have ate more, because he wouldn't have died.
