During the Old Stone age, people hunted and gathered to find food, the people lived a nomadic lifestyle, moving from place to place when they could no longer find food. They used stone tools to hunt and do jobs.
The New Stone Age began around 9000 BCE when people started learning how to farm. They started settling in to places instead of moving. They domesticated animals, and had a stable food supply. The groups of people expanded, and eventually some places turned into cities.
