At the end of creation everyone lived in harmony and everyone was happy except for Kukulkan. He was angry because the gods were allowing the humans to be in control.
He traveled to the world of the humans and wondered among the lands until he came upon Tollan, he noticed they were making a sacrifice in honor of his brother. This angered him so he stopped the execution.
The priest was angry and shouted at the intruder and the sky turned gray with ugly clouds and created a major storm with lightning and thunder
Kukulkan calmed the people and assured them that their city would flourish. He then raised his hands to the sky and the winds began to blow, clearing the ugly clouds.
He taught them to cultivate corn seeds, how to work with jade, gold, and obsidian, how to dye cotton and the art of astronomy. He enriched their writing, promoted the worship of the gods and forbade human sacrifices, teaching them self-sacrifice by pricking themselves with maguey thorns instead.
Tezcatlipoca disguised himself as an old man and delivered a gift to Kukulkan. The liquid was intoxicated, but Kukulkan was unaware and drank it all. The following morning he felt unclean and was unfit to lead the town of Tollan. So he sailed away but promised to return.
