Theodor Seuss Geisel was one of the greatest authors to every live but not many know his story. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in march 2, 1904 and was raised in Springfield , Massachusetts.
When Dr.Seuss was a young adult/kid his mom and dad would always support him , his mom became his "accomplice in crime" , encouraging him to draw caricatures on the plaster walls of his bedroom .The zoo was beloved part of Theodor's childhood.If his father wasn't able to come with him and his sketch pad there , he would go with his mother or sister ,marine.
Theodor Seuss Geisel was an American author who had a lot of jobs. Dr.Seuss was a political cartoonist,Author,Poet,Animator,Book Publisher, and a Artist .Dr.Seuss was planning to be a Professor before he became a children's book author.He had chosen to be an Author because he had more fun and enjoyed it more then being a professor .
Dr.Seuss first book ever published was on December 21,1937 and it was called "And to think that I saw it on Mulberry street".This is a moment Dr.Seuss will remember because this is when his career basically took off or started.
Dr.Seuss had a lot of known books over his career that made him Dr.Seuss but some of the most famous books he made were "The cat in the hat","Green eggs and ham","Dr.Seuss ABC", and "Oh the places you'll go".These books have sold over 650 million copies in 95 countries and translated into 17 languages.
Dr.Seuss was a really successful person and was known to be one of the greatest Authors of all time.Dr.Seuss eventually died in September 24,1991 and he died of oral cancer.Dr.Seuss had a great life he had 2 wife's during his lifetime named Audrey Geisel and Helen Palmer .He never had a Biological kid but he he was a step father of 2 girls.Dr.Seuss will always be remembered for his success and the impact in his community.
