#### Storyboard Text

• Now for question number 2.
• Mike had 63 pears and 130 apples, he also had 32 blueberries, then someone stole all of his pears and half of his blueberries, what is the total number of fruits that he has left.
• For the first part you need to add up all of the integers.
• 63+130+32=
• I know! Its 225
• Great! Then you subtract 225 by 63 because someone stole all of his pears.
• 225-63=
• And that equals 162.
• For this part lets break this down
• 162-(32 divided by 2)=
• Ok
• First divide this and it equals?
• 32/2=
• I know! It is 16!
• Now after you divide you have to subtract for the answer which is?
• 162-16=
• And the answer is 146 fruits left because that is the absolute value. Absolute value is far away the number is from zero, so the absolute value is 146.
