Manuel wondered why he had signed up in the first place and wondered if it was ever worth it. But after a few moments he remebered that he did it to hangout with Benny and to showoff to the girls. Manuel went to practice and saw Benny, he was doing a trumpet act but Manuel was doing a act to La Bamba and goig to mouth the words.
The night before Manuel had so much homework and only had time to practice in the shower so he prayed that he would do good and not do bad tomorrow.... Manuel's parents asked him what he is doing for the show,but Manuel just answers with "You will see" with his ,mouth full of cheerios... The rest of the day whizzed by and soon it was time for the show.
Mr. Roybal says good evening to everyone on the stage. Manuel could hear him say "Tonight we bring you the best John Burroughs Elementary has to offer and I'm sure that you will be both pleased and amazed that our little school houses so much talent. Then it was Manuel's turn after some people went. The crowed loved it he got many high fives and was so happy! He was very popular from that day on.
