  • The Expostion is when the narrator was stating he wasn't insane when you can tell he is clearly not sane at all.
  • Expostion
  • The conflict of the Tell-Tale Heart is the old man's eye and how the narrator feels about it.
  • Conflicts
  • The Rising Action is when the narrator sees the old man's eye and thinks the eye is evil. So, the narrator stalks the old man every night just to find the perfect time to kill him.
  • Rising Action
  • The climax is when the narrator murders the old man by putting the mattress over his face and sitting on it. The narrator did this so the old man can't see him. 
  • Climax
  • When the narrator starts to hear the old man's heartbeat even though the old man is dead. Also, the heartbeat is increasing to make the narrator lose it.
  • Falling Action
  • The resolution is when the narrator confesses that he murdered the old man and that he is under the floorboards. He does this from the heartbeat
