  • Its 1918 in New York, City and the Johnsons are suffering from the recent loss of their father. Eleanor and her two kids Sarah and Nick are in the middle of planning the funeral for their father.
  • Climax
  • Not only days later a deadly virus breaks out world wide and the US is put on immediate lock down. This means no one leaves the house. It started in a military base and has now infected over 500 million people world wide.
  • Falling Action
  • Eleanore refuses to stop going out to plan the funeral and so she and her kids get into the car and go to every place they can to get stuff and make plans. Eleanors friends warned her but she ignored them and demanded that the funeral be ready by next week.
  • Resolution
  • A few days later the Johnsons are sitting in their house and Nick sees his mother and she's coughing and sweating. He gets worried and rushes her to the hospital to be examined. The doctor comes in a few hours later and tells the family she has the Spanish flu and doesn't know if she will make it.
  • Sarah is a smart girl, and is determined to find something to slow down the virus. She heads to her science classroom and starts to pull out books and experiments to try and see if there is anything she could do. Meanwhile Nick is back at the hospital with his mother when the doctor informs him that she has been intubated and does not have much longer.
  • Nick calls Sarah to tell her what the doctor had said and she rushes over to the hospital. They both sat by their mothers side and told her how much they loved her and how she was a strong women. Not much later she passed away with her children right beside her.
