17 November to 29 December 1989 was when the Velvet/Gentle Revolution began in Czechoslovakia. This Revolution was called the velvet revolution because there was no blood shed. The Czechoslovakian's are done with communism.
In 1989 the Czechoslovakian people saw the overthrow of the evil Communists. This Revolution began with a 2-hour strike with all of the Czechoslovakian people. The Czechoslovakian People have been controlled by Communism for 50 years.
Democracy is achieved! In June 1990 they had their first democratic, elections. The Czechoslovakians achieved democracy without bloodshed, but with organized demonstrations and strikes.
