  • The species inside of the cave moved into the cave because of the Winter, or to find a new place to live. These animals consist of 48 different species and lack of human nature.
  • As all the species entered the cave, the cave was open and easy to access and find. There is a calculated 33 species inside of the cave that are unidentified and found nowhere else in the world.
  • Shortly after the animals moved into the cave, limestone cast dropped and completely sealed the cave. Since the cave is sealed most insects were not able to see anything.
  • Insects started to die because they were unable to find food, and water. The cave is long and 21 degrees celsius which made it even harder for animals to live.
  • Overtime the animals start changing. They started having very-long antennas to help them feel around in the darkness. Even Then some were still caught by spiders or other predators. Some insects were born without eyes and with lost pigment in their skin, making them easier to be eaten.
  • Ever since the cave has been discovered in 1986 only 100 people have been inside the cave. These animals have found ways to survive the cold, the polluted air, and limited food that comes from frothy foam sitting on top of the water and water that comes from 25,000 year old spongy sandstones for over 5.5 million years.
