You still can eat a snack but you can pick a better choice.
If you want to stay energetic for practice eat something healthy and pact with carbohydrates. Cupcakes have carbohydrates but the bad and full of sugars that are not needed in your body. To stay energized try foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains.
If your body doesn't have it's main source of energy(carbohydrates) then it relies on fats and proteins for energy. If the proteins and fats are doing the carbohydrate's job then they can't do their own jobs.
Maybe I should make better choices.
Don't feel sad or slumped. But, when you make better choices it makes you feel pumped!
